Due to proprietary characteristics associated with a hollow vacuum center, these unique inorganic Ceramic Vacuum Microspheres have many end uses and competitive advantages.
Because of their vacuum centers XUREX CVM’s possess high heat and sound insulation values. They can also be used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and other high value markets.
The special ceramic composition of these hollow microspheres generate compressive (crush) strengths in excess 8,000 pounds per square inch.
XUREX recently produced test quantities of these microspheres in Albuquerque which passed microscopic analysis and so they are slated for future production in the near term.
XUREX has identified many applications for these uniquely specialized, inert microspheres with ultra-hard, hot/cold insulating properties:
- Insulation enhancement when added to paints. Applications could include roofing, homes and warehouse insulation. CVM paints and coatings can provide reduced energy costs.
- Steam pipe and other high temperature insulation, Thin, high heat, fireproof insulation coating for numerous applications including factories, warehouses, schools, hotels and hospitals.
- Thermal Container/Cooler Application
- Cosmetics industry Medically inert, these near-microscopic spheres provide prolonged, non-detectable cosmetic cover/filler for wrinkles in face and neck. In addition, CVM’s can be manufactured to impart fragrances. Market implementations are extensive and this application can have one of the largest margins in XUREX’s portfolio.
- Medical applications are currently under review.
- Non-Contaminating, permanent filtration medium for drinking water and other liquids.
- Industrial Uses: CVM’s can provide increased strength while reducing weight of Portland cement concrete. CVM’s enhance abrasion resistance on protective floor coatings in very high traffic, mechanical abuse and/or corrosion areas.
- If used as fiberglass additive stronger and lighter weight can be achieved while increasing insulation values.
