Chairman of the Board of Directors
Rex Powers has served as Chairman for Xurex Inc. since October 2009. During his tenure he enabled the current Board to oversee a Business Stabilization Plan that has resulted in a new Strategic Partnership with DuraSeal Pipe Coatings. Rex is a highly successful executive recruiter. He is Managing Partner with Hanna Shea Consulting, which provides Executive Search, Recruitment Process Outsourcing and International Staffing services for clients such as Freeport McMoRan Copper & Gold, American Express and Exxon. Prior to launching Hanna Shea in 2008, he was President of Indianapolis based Powers & Associates, a Staffing and Project Management consulting firm providing specialized services following Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana. From 1997 thru 2006, Rex was the Executive Vice President of PinPoint Resources in Indianapolis, where he held numerous positions. Following Hurricane Katrina he moved to Baton Rouge to assume responsibility as EVP of Gulf Coast Operations and build a staffing organization to assist in the recovery efforts in Louisiana. In this role, he secured a multi-million dollar contract with a Federal Agency. Rex is from Indianapolis where he graduated from North Central High School in 1970. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he was certified in Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and was awarded SAC Airman of the Year, earning the rank of Staff Sergeant in less than 4 years. He also served in the United States Army Reserves (1979-1991) where he attained the rank of Master Sergeant.

Ken has served on the Board since October 2009 and officially assumed the role of Interim CEO and Treasurer in January. He has extensive experience with start up companies. He is a founder and Board Member of UK manufacturing technology companies Oxyol Plc and Smartcast. Plc., and of Los Angeles based social gaming company Tdoor, Inc. Ken was Principal and advises the consulting firm CRC Results, focusing on operational improvement and forensic audits. He led projects in Entertainment, Manufacturing, Technology and Financial Services, with projects in audits, acquisitions, governance, new products, and supply chain management. As CEO of New River Music from 2003 to 2005 he managed the debut of a band, generating the largest sales ever for a group based in China. He also managed a venture co-owed by Virgin Holdings and Morgan Stanley. As CFO/EVP of Virgin/EMI group from 1990 through 2003 he was responsible for financial planning, accounting, pricing, acquisitions, strategic alliances and reporting units. He grew film and television licensing from $200k to over $2, 000k per year in two years, and managed a joint venture with Sony, et. al. that generated profit of $350 million. As Worldwide Internal Audit Director for EMI he established the Audit function and hired and managed 12 professionals. Prior to 1999 he held CFO positions at Virgin Records America and EMI. Prior to 1991 he held Director of Internal Audit positions at EMI, and from 1980 to 1897 he was a CPA Audit Manager for Ernst and Whinney (Young). He received a BS in Business Administration from California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo.

Ken has served on the Board since October 2009 and officially assumed the role of Secretary in January. He brings over 20 years of management experience with leading high-tech corporations, and 8 years of nutritional supplement CEO experience. Since 2001 Mr. Clifford has been President and CEO of Advanced Nutritional Innovations, Inc. (ANI), a developer and marketer of nutritional supplements that he co-founded. ANI launched a national brand in 2002 that by 2003 was on the radio with CNN's Larry King and in 18,000 stores. ANI is now a leading marketer of condition specific supplements in health food stores. From 1999 through early 2001 he was COO and CFO of DashJobs.com Inc., a startup online job recruiting company. From 1996 to 1999 he was Vice President of Marketing and Sales at FRAX, a multimedia training software company. From 1995 to 1996 he was Director of Marketing for the software division of KLA Instruments (Nasdaq: KLAC), a maker of semiconductor wafer inspection and yield management products. From 1989 to 1995 he managed Manufacturing Market Development for Sun Microsystems, Inc. (Nasdaq: JAVA) where he formed strategic alliances with SAP and Oracle and successfully launched Sun into the billion-dollar market for Enterprise Systems hardware. Prior to Sun, he held diverse management positions in general management, finance, marketing, sales, software engineering, and manufacturing and at Intel, Motorola and Xerox. Mr. Clifford has a BSEE with Highest Distinction from Purdue University, and an MBA with Distinction from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a member of the American Chemical Society.

Rich Rygg is an experienced, successful executive and entrepreneur. He was part of the GeoCities executive team, which raised $60 million in venture capital, successfully IPO’d on NASDAQ, then sold the company for $4 billion to Yahoo! He is currently partner in Heartland Technologies, which creates protein-based adhesives from soybeans, a successful joint venture with Ashland Performance Materials. Their adhesives replace toxic phenol formaldehyde in wood based products. Starting his career in sales with IBM in 1985, he then worked for HP, Dana, CompuServe, ECN, AOL, Yahoo! and GeoCities, and also founded Kiko.com, Ichange.com and Call and Tell Them. As VP General Manager of GeoCities he managed more than 125 professionals. At Yahoo! He launched Yahoo! Domains and Website services and ran a hosting service. At KIKO he raised over $7 million, then faced dissolution on bursting of the Internet bubble the following year. He has designed successful strategies, built business plans, hired staffs, met corporate targets, launched many entrepreneurial initiatives, and successfully executed to meet revenue numbers, obtain financing, or complete exit strategies. He is very familiar with all aspects of an early stage company including planning, reporting, compliance, corporate governance, legal, finance, personnel, sales, support, information systems and product launches. He brings an extensive network of start-up experts and funding sources in the U.S. and Europe. Rich has a MBA from Penn State University in 1985, and a BS in Engineering Geology from Brigham Young University in 1983.
